Now what?

Have you ever been so frustrated, you just did not know what to do? We have all been there–babies, children, youth, young adults, and older adults. Some of the awful things that happen to us in life are really awful-just awful. But let’s just talk about those situations where it’s bad, not so bad it’s life threatening, but bad enough so it totally upsets our applecart for the day and even more. And it is just so hard to get back on track. For example, have you? (Put a checkmark or X next to any of the below scenarios if it has ever happened to you.)

  • tried to take a step, but fell down
  • tried to learn a new skill, but just can’t get it right
  • tried to make a new friend and they did not respond back
  • tried to start a new habit, but it isn’t sticking
  • tried to sleep, but got woke up
  • tried to get a certain grade, or diploma, or certificate, and it seems impossible
  • tried to get that job, but it’s nowhere to be found
  • tried to get something done, but the online support just wasn’t there yet
  • tried to chill, but someone has a problem for you to fix
  • still looking for that special someone that isn’t around
  • someone decides you have another thing to do
  • the thing you want is nice, but the price is not right
  • you want to do it, but don’t have the time
  • someone tells you it will be okay, but it is not okay
  • your plans were great, but it did not work out
  • and so, on
