We love you and send you our thanks for all of the wonderful things you do each and every day. We want to again say thank-you for –

  • saying thanks to your elders, family, friends, and new acquaintances
  • loving one another
  • reading the scriptures
  • going to church
  • praying for others
  • apologizing when appropriate
  • forgiving others
  • trying to better expand your talents and skills
  • not giving up
  • sharing your knowledge
  • reading something everyday
  • sharing your resources with others
  • sharing your time by helping others
  • not forgetting to get back up when something has you down
  • finding hope in the stories of others who have encountered similar obstacles
  • following the Holy Spirit
  • enduring difficult times
  • learning from challenges
  • gaining empathy
  • gaining experience
  • leading others with your example

Homeschoolers/Educators/Parents: sketch/color an illustration. Theme: thanks. Put these words in alphabetical order: pig, adventurous, unfortunately, ran, away, thanks, escape. Read the story “Pigling Bland” in Learning to Read: Favorite Fairy Tales. Describe what Pigling Bland did to escape from the farmer. How did Pigling Bland help Pig-Wig? Talk about what they were thankful for. Write about what you can do to show appreciation to others.  (Skillset: compare, comprehend, creativity, oral, reading/writing practice.)
