Who doesn’t want a little kiss from their best furry friend on National Pet Day? Meow! Bark! Ways to celebrate –

  • Snuggle up together and watch “Lady & the Tramp” or “The Cat from Outer Space” or…
  • Watch the animated series called Star Wars Rebels and look for the Loth Cats
  • Go for a walk together
  • Give your pooch a favorite snack like an ice cube, meat treat or Kibbles
  • Give your cat something to purr about like a rumble tumble, special kind of toy
  • Here is a link to some special deals you can promise them
  • Praise your pet for their unconditional love

Homeschoolers/Educators/Parents: Sketch/color an illustration. Put these words in alphabetical order and use in a sentence: cat, tortoise, hare, rabbit, dog, monkey, lion. Safely play with an animal and give them a special treat. Talk about your favorite pet. Listen to the audiobook story The Tortoise and the Hare and explain why the tortoise won the race. Watch this cute animal video here and name all of the animals. (Skillset: identify, verbal, comprehend, creative)
