Palm Payments

It’s here folks, paying with the palm of your hand. That’s what Whole Foods technology has recently laid out for its customers just this week. So what do you think about it? Privacy experts warn about the lack of security with the use of palm scans. Here are a few quick facts:

  • Shoppers can scan their hand at the register to pay for groceries without having to open their wallets
  • It has been put into use in several of the Whole Foods cashier-less stores
  • There is the risk of it being hacked and stolen
  • The technology is called Amazon One

So, homeschoolers (analogy): Sketch/color an illustration. Take a pro/con position on using the palm of your hand to buy/sell food. Read the story “Little Match Girl” and describe what the girl tried to sell.
