Happy 4th of July, everyone!  Do something exciting to celebrate America’s Independence!  Eat, play, sing, dance, watch a fireworks display, go to the theater, honor someone, play our jigsaw puzzle game, and enjoy! Play the jigsaw puzzle game below by hitting the “start game” button.

But first, just a little history lesson below about our freedoms –

  • Each section in the Declaration of Independence explains why it had the right to declare independence.
  • The Preamble explains why the Continental Congress wrote the Declaration of Independence.
  • The Declaration of Natural Rights states that all men are created by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.
  • These unalienable rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  • The Declaration of Independence includes a list of grievances against the British government.
  • It claims the colonies were free and independent states.
  • The signers of the Declaration of Independence represented the American people.
  • They voted to declare the colonies independent from Great Britain on July 4, 1776.
  • Most of the signers signed the document on August 2, 1776.
