Read across America Day is a day set aside to promote reading for children. The popular children’s author Dr. Seuss had his birthday on March 2nd. The original planners of the holiday wanted it to be near his birthday. Let’s promote reading among the population and especially children.

Homeschoolers/Educators/Parents: Sketch/color an illustration. Theme: reading. Read Hansel and Gretel: in Learning to ReadFavorite Fairy Tales (Kindle/audiobook/paperback). Say and write the word(s) “fairy tales” five times so you can learn how to pronounce and spell it correctly.  List your five (5) favorite book titles and alphabetize them in correct order. Listen to one of our audiobooks and read along. Write about your favorite fairy tale. (Reading Skills Development & Practice: identify, comprehend, apply, organize, creative, affective, analyze, synthesize.)
