International Read to Me Day is March 19th! What a great and glorious day. Read to your loved one! Let them hear the words from an audiobook, paperback or Kindle. Reading to them will increase their love for good words, good books, great ideas, and, of course, you!!!! Hear are a few suggestions:

  • Read for 10 minutes or longer
  • Share the love of reading
  • Participate in a reading activity (point to pictures or words, ask questions about what was read)
  • Give someone the gift of a book
  • Just hearing the words is a great start
  • Give your serious reader a study guide
  • Download and print a reading poster
  • Be a good example and tell your loved one what you are reading

Why read each day for a few minutes with your loved one? It will double your child’s vocabulary! One day they will thank you for opening the doors to greater opportunities for them!
