Flooding – Help is Needed

You must have heard of the tremendous flooding going in southeast Michigan on I-94 and other areas by now. Heavy rains in the Detroit area have led to extensive flooding in many neighborhoods from Westland and Livonia in the metro area, stretching across to Grosse Pointe Woods. It is estimated that 3,000 homes are affected and will require some form of mediation. If you can help with –

  • only participate in what you think is a safe volunteer activity
  • dress safely to work outside (waterproof boots, gloves)
  • bring water/snacks/buckets
  • fill out volunteer email information at link below
  • removing water and/or mud from basements
  • removal of drywall
  • removal of debris
  • help is needed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (July 2nd-4th)
  • arrive at 20201 Rotunda, Dearborn (Church building) around 8 am
  • a team of up to ten volunteers
  • be responsible for your property and own safety
  • prayers for Metro Detroit Flood Relief
